this picture is not the best example with the quote. but EVERY GIRL who wants to be skinny NEEDS TO READ THIS. Start out by eating healthy and this does not mean to diet by eating only salads or whatever. Being healthy is getting all your nutrients which can be found in all sorts of foods. Just limit the junk food and sweets to a just one serving a day of them. That’ll put you on the right track. On top of that workout a least 30 minutes a day, like running, and ON TOP of that weight lift, even if its free weights and light. Eventually you’re body will feel better and you will too, you’ll have more energy & not “feel” fat. The weight lifting and healthy eating and running will help you loose some of the fat and keep muscles, making yourself look LEANER. You can be skinny, but you don’t have to go about this the wrong way, take your time, change your lifestyle, don’t count calories, enjoy desserts in moderation, have will power to not eat too much, motivate yourself to workout, stay off the scale, don’t stand in front of the mirror analyzing your body, love yourself, and before you know it you’ll look great! AND being skinny does not mean that your thighs should not touch, that you don’t have a bit of fat on your body, that your stomach is completly flat, that you don’t have cellulite, and that your butt does not jiggle at all. Girls need to understand that most girls thigh’s do touch, that EVERYONE has fat on them & that little bit of “flab” underneath your belly button & cellulite, and if your butt did not jiggle, then you wouldn’t have any cushion for sitting, unless its all muscle (which is higly unlikely for a butt to be 100% muscle, there will be at least a tiny bit of fat)
Every girl needs to understand LOVE their body. Because if you love your body, boys will love it too, because of your confidence and because some guys like junk in the trunk or a little bit of fat to grab. Everyone is beautiful and let me tell you, I used worry about my weight in a way that I should be skinny, that my thighs shouldn’t touch. I didn’t obsess about it, but it would have been nice. Well I run track in college and with all the heavy weight lifting I do, I put on the “freshman 15” but in muscle. I weigh 10 lbs more than I did in high school and I’m a lot thicker, but its muscle & lean muscle at that and yes I do have fat on my body (i’m well-known for my big butt) but I started eating healtier and not thinking about really trying to loose weight to be skinny and you know what, I FEEL GREAT! I know I look good and I feel good all the time, bc I know I’m healthy.
I really wish girls would learn to love themselves.

Here we go again! New month, new workout calendars!

In November, there are even more options: a basic calendar like you’ve seen in the past with one or two workouts each day, a student-focused one that asks for more workouts on the class-free weekends, a beginner plan that follows a 3 days on/1 day off method, and an extreme calendar that focuses on strength-training and includes HIIT. There is also a flexibility calendar that can be added to any of the workout calendars to help you gain flexibility throughout the month (coming soon in its own post).

Whatever plan you choose, and feel free to change whenever you’d like, the directions are simple: find the current date on the calendar, see what workout(s) it asks for, and pick one from each section listed for that date. For example, if today it says “Arms” and “General,” I’d find an arm workout and a general workout to do today.

If you’d like to write about your experiences during the month or see how others are doing, please use the tag “BoP: November”. By all using this tag, we can see what others are doing during the month and send others encouragement along the way. Let’s all support each other on our journeys!

During the month, remember that you should take as many rest days as you need, modify any workouts that you cannot do, stay hydrated, get more low-intensity cardio, and eat well.

Have fun!

p.s. Any of the calendars can be modified. If you are training for a half-marathon, feel free to count that as your cardio on cardio days. If you’re sore in the arms from helping a friend move, substitute a butt workout instead. It’s all about you!
